Description

The name “PALMO” refers to our most classic coffee, with a more developed roast profile, bringing the coffee bean to a darker roast. It honors a small coffee-producing community located in the municipality of Arada, Santa Barbara. This community is situated at an altitude ranging from 1300 to 1900 meters above sea level and is a highly productive coffee-growing village. It is characterized by the presence of forests.

This coffee-growing area is the first coffee region visited together by the founding partners of D Arada, Alejandro Santo and Domingo Rosales, during their first visit in 2015. During this visit, they began conducting their first Brazilian and espresso cuppings with coffees produced in the PALMO farms.

Since then, the young Alejandro Santos and Domingo Rosales continued conversations with prominent producers such as Alexis Moreno, Henry de Jesús Rosales, among others.

The coffees marketed under the name PALMO will be coffees from all over Honduras that resemble the sensory profile described in the data sheet. At the origin, work will be done in conjunction with BENEFICIO ROSALES, located in the municipality of Arada, alongside Mr. Ramiro Rosales Amaya, who will be the strategic ally to guarantee consistency in every coffee bean and meet the market demand for this coffee profile.

This is a coffee with a more developed roast, due to the sensory characteristics of the bean. It is a more classic coffee. This coffee is our first level of specialty, in which we introduce the consumer who is unfamiliar with specialty coffee.”
